Cast Biographies

Lorilyn Harper (Director) - is delighted to be working with Threshold Repertory Theatre, with Don & Alicia, and with this wonderful cast. She has appeared in several Charleston area theatres in the past four years, including The Footlight Players, Midtown Productions, South of Broadway, and Threshold Rep. In addition to her work in Charleston, Lorilyn spent several years performing, directing and costuming productions in Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX. She holds a Master's degree in theatre and by day, plays the role of the high school English teacher at N. Charleston High School.

Shelly Goughnour (Lisette) - was last seen at Threshold Repertory Theatre in the joint production with What If Productions of Evil Dead, the Musical as Linda.  Other favorite/recent credits in Charleston include Hollywood (Clara/Faith MacLean) and Dogfight (Mama/Suzette) with Village Repertory Theatre; Company (Kathy) with Midtown Productions and 1940s Radio Hour (Ginger Brooks), Miracle on 34th Street (Doris Walker), Nunsense (Sister Amnesia) and Oklahoma! (Ado Annie) with The Footlight Players.

Brett Leach (Crispin) - is appearing in his 3rd show at Threshold Repertory Theatre. He was previously seen on stage portraying Katurian in The Pillowman with 5th Wall Productions and performing the role of Philip in Threshold’s 9th season production of The Lion in Winter. Originally from Goose Creek, Brett is an Air Force veteran, College of Charleston graduate and current graduate student at The Citadel studying clinical counseling.

Anthony Parenti (Eraste) - recently moved to Charleston to pursue a film education at Trident Tech. He has made many short films and has starred, written, produced, and directed many of them. He has acted in a couple of shows around the Charleston area including Crimes of the Heart and Vincent John Doe and has enjoyed all of it. He’s excited for this opportunity to work on The Heir Apparent!

Susie Hallatt (Madame Argante) - is thrilled to be a part of The Heir Apparent at Threshold. A few local theater credits include Oklahoma, South Pacific and The Importance of Being Earnest, (The Footlight Players); Shakers and The Crucible (The Flowertown Players); Noises Off ! and A Christmas Carol (Charleston Stage) and Souvenir and I’ll Eat You Last (Village Rep). When not prancing around onstage, Susie is Director of Graduate Admissions for the College of Charleston. She adores her husband David and blesses him for his constant support in her mad pursuit of acting.

Bill Terranova (Geronte) - or Terry, as his friends know him, has been in numerous productions throughout the Charleston area over the past two decades. Once again, he is both pleased and honored to be working with such warm, funny and talented people.

Taryn Hoyt (Isabelle) - is proud to be part of this incredible production! She spends much of her time directing and stage managing, but is excited to get to spend some time on stage. Previous credits include Hairspray, Shrek the Musical, Red, The Tempest, Singin’ in The Rain, Guys and Dolls, Measure for Measure, Beauty and The Beast, and the 2017 Tony Awards.  Thank you to the cast and crew for making this a wonderful experience.

Linda Esposito (Scruple) - is a transplant from a lifetime in Saudi Arabia where she served as Executive Producer, President, and lead actress of an international theatre group for 20 years. Since her now decade-long relocation to the low country, she has been seen in numerous theatrical productions around town; most recently as Joanne in Company with Midtown Productions, and Sister Aloysius in Doubt with 5th Wall Productions. Time for a French farce and some much needed laughter!
